We are moving ever-closer to a super-connected 5G-enabled world. Supercharged 5G networks are 150 times faster than 4G today, thus transforming mobile landscape with blazing fast speeds. 5G infrastructure will become the engine of the connected world, it will change services and products for good.


As an official side-event of 5G Techritory Forum, we invite world leaders of 5G ecosystem to challenge the smartest and innovative tech companies from Baltic sea region/Nordics with unsolved problems, technology applications, business cases in the context of 5G technology. We expect that cases submitted to the Hackathon are relevant, challenging and with clear business or application perspective. Hackathon teams will be formed of selected operating IT companies to ensure sustainability, reliability and potential to continuous work with the innovation development.


We welcome small and medium IT companies to develop 5G solutions and work together with large corporates that are shaping the world, in an intense 24-hour solution validation event, preceded by 8-week remote development of the selected Challenge and communication with Challenge owner on regular basis. During the Hackathon itself, leading technology and business experts gathered for the 5G Forum will mentor the teams.

5G Hackathon Riga is an intense 4-week team work on the provided challenge and a 24-hour solution validation on-site event on November 27-28, 2019. The format is simple: an industry company presents its business challenge, and an IT company looks for a solution according to its competences. This collaboration is to create new digital products and foster growth for the companies.  The focus of the hackathon is cross-industry product partnership addressing 4 vertical markets –
